We worked with our client to surprise her husband with a custom set of walnut ottertail paddles and we couldn't have been happier with the result. Painted to match their new Swift Canada 150 canoe, these paddles are sure to be enjoyed for many adventures to come!

A special "couple" of custom paddles

Now this is a truly unique anniversary gift! We had the pleasure of working with a couple to design a custom set of paddles. They chose the paddle and let us create a truly unique paint job to represent their love for the outdoors and each other.   They chose the classic Beavertail paddle in solid cherry wood. Both paddles and paddle holders were carved from the same piece of wood. Each paddle had a custom painted monogram and was dipped in varnish for added protection. We created this original hand drawn tree design especially for them - 11 roots to symbolize the 11 years they have been together. It's not everyday we get to create a custom paddle like this. With its rich mix of special claro walnut and flame maple, this sleek paddle is ready for the red carpet. Wood This paddle features specialty wood in the blade, claro walnut and flame maple. Claro walnut is highly figured and typically reserved for high end furniture and woodworking. Curly "flame" maple is also known for being highly figured and its grain pops, giving it a holographic look. The shaft was made with red cedar, basswood and ash.
